AdvisoryMarshall County Emergency Management just announced that the NOAA Weather Radio station in South Bend, WXJ-57 at 162.400 MHz is currently off the air. That means that the NOAA All Hazard Alert Radios will NOT activate if a watch or warning is put out.

EMA Director, Clyde Avery said, “With the severe weather potential we have for today, I want to make everyone aware that they may need to find another source to keep up to date on dangerous weather that may be approaching our area.” He continued, “The weather service has technicians working on the problem and hope to have it resolved soon. I will send out an update when I receive notification that the problem has been fixed.”

Depending on your location, you may also be able to receive information from one of the other NOAA weather radio stations which include: WNG-689 Hebron at 162.450 MHz, KZZ-36 in North Webster at 162.500 MHz and KJY-62 in LaPorte at 162.500 MHz
