04/21/14 Firefighters from Plymouth and Bourbon responded to a forest fire Sunday evening just after 7.
As passerby called 9-1-1 and the Marshall County Dispatch Center sent the Plymouth Fire Department to the area of Hawthorn and 12th Road.
Fire Chief Rod Miller said the fire had started in a field near the forest and apparently spread into the woods. The Chief estimated the forest to be about 10 acres and the fire was spreading through the woods.
The Bourbon Fire Department was dispatched to assists with water and man power.
Fire crews were on the scene for almost two hours.
