03/24/14 Last weekend Plymouth High School Business Professionals of American students competed at the State level after qualifying early in the year to reach this point. Placing in first place was Curtis Smith in Extemporaneous Speech, as well as, qualifying for the Nationals as a part of the Broadcast News Production team with Ricky Cooper, Max Holloway and John Hunter as they placed second. Also, qualifying for Nationals was Nick Bayley in Computer Network Technology with a second place finish.
Others that did well but did not qualify for Nationals include Daniel Flynn with a ninth place finish in Graphic Design Promotion, Ricky Cooper with a seventh place finish in Presentation Management Individual, Nathan Mahan with a sixth place finish in Fundamental Spread Sheet Applications and a seventeenth place finish in Fundamental Accounting, Emily Denney with a seventh place finish in Advanced Accounting, Tucker Pletcher with a eleventh place finish in Advanced Spread Sheet Applications, Trent Briles with a fifteenth place finish in Fundamental Desktop Publishing and the Parliamentary Procedures Team of Tucker Pletcher, Sarah Lindvall, Makayla Fox, Sara Stults and Emily Denney finished fifth. All of the students did a great job of representing Plymouth High School.
