corona virus updateThe Indiana Department of Health announced Thursday that 1,240 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 687,713 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.

The Indiana Covid-19 Dashboard and Map shows Marshall County reporting 13 new individuals tested positive for Covid-19 bringing the total to 5629 since March 2021 with 42 new individuals being tested. There were no new Covid-19 related deaths reported since Wednesday as Marshall County has 107 deaths. The 7-Day Positivity for the All Tests scored 3.3% with the 7-Day Positivity for the Unique Individual scoring 9.3%.

To date, 12,642 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of nine from the previous day. Another 406 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record.

A total of 3,262,518 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 3,257,245 on Wednesday. A total of 8,938,557 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26, 2020.
