armed-robberyWednesday afternoon about 3:30, Plymouth Police units were dispatched to the LifePlex parking lot on Miller Drive for an armed robbery and theft of a vehicle.

The victim told city police that a black male approached him in the LifePlex parking lot, displayed a weapon and stole his vehicle.  The victim was not injured.

The suspect left the area in the victim’s vehicle and was apprehended a short time later in Whitley County.  Details regarding the apprehension or the suspect’s identity are not available at this time.

While Plymouth Police were investigating the stolen vehicle from LifePlex, they recovered an abandoned vehicle that had a flat tire on U.S. 30 just east of Pioneer Drive.  That vehicle was reported stolen from Chicago, IL and it is suspected that the robber was in that vehicle and car jacked the vehicle in the LifePlex parking lot.
