ShopliftingOfficers with the Plymouth Police were called to Walmart Tuesday afternoon about 4 when a male subject stole items from the store and then took off running.

Officer Chad Beatty arrived on the scene and saw 22 year old Jay Johnson Jr. of Walkerton trying to hide behind vehicles in the parking lot.

Johnson was detained and escorted back into the store. While officers were searching his person they found him to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Jay Johnson was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for Possession of Methamphetamine and Theft.  His cash bond was set at $3,000.
