Riverwalk Apartment_1The public is invited to an open forum on the proposed South Gateway, a new residential project by international architect and developer Scott Sivan.   Sivan will be presenting the latest conceptual renderings and site plan with an explanation of the unique features this project will offer in downtown Plymouth.   He will respond to questions from the community.  His intention is to provide the best solution to enhance the city’s southern edge and compliment the River Park Square area.

In 2016 Scott’s development group completed River Rock, a multi-story apartment project in downtown Mishawaka overlooking the St. Joseph River.

The Plymouth City Administration has put their financially support to the project as part of its efforts to stimulate the advancement of the community. The proposal has also been awarded funding through the Regional Cities Initiative, fulfilling its intention to improve quality of place and life throughout St. Joseph, Elkhart and Marshall Counties, encouraging municipal and private investment and regenerating population growth in the region.

Also presenting Tuesday evening will be John DeSalle, President of Hoosier Tire and Regional Development Authority (RDA) member; Jerry Chavez, President/CEO Marshall County EDC; Sean Surrisi, Plymouth City Attorney.

The open forum will be held on Tuesday, December 13th at 5:30 p.m. in the old NIPSCO building at the corner of South Michigan and LaPorte Streets.
