This week drivers and pedestrians have seen major construction work in the downtown area of Plymouth.

Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson said the first project was on the northeast corner of Michigan and Garro Street and was changing a water valve that was leaking.

Davidson said, “We wanted to get it repaired before main flushing starts next month.”  He also indicated that there might be a couple more projects in the downtown area that may be repaired.

Crews worked on the west side of Michigan and Garro Streets on Tuesday and on Wednesday they were at Michigan and Washington Streets.
