OWI_Drinking and DrivingOfficer Krynock with the Plymouth Police Department stopped a vehicle on Thursday, January 10th about 10:20 at night on US 30 at Pioneer Drive.    The driver, 50 year old Thaddeus L. Blanton of Fort Wayne was stopped for a traffic infraction.

During the stop it was discovered that Mr. Blanton was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to the St. Joseph Hospital ER for a chemical test and then lodged in the Marshall County Jail for OWI.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
