Kamp was last serving as non-commissioned officer in charge of physical security with 434th Security Force Squadron, Grissom Air Reserve Base, Ind.

His awards and decorations include a Meritorious Service Medal, two Air Force Commendation Medals, three Air Force Achievement Medals, six Air Force Outstanding Unit Awards, four Air Force Good Conduct Medals, five Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medals, two National Defense Service Medals, an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, two Nuclear Deterrence Operations Service Medals, three Air Force Longevity Service Medals, two Armed Forces Reserve Medals, two United States Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbons, two Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbons, an Air Force Training Ribbon, an Expert Infantry Badge, an Air Assault Badge and an Army Service Ribbon.

Kamp is the son of Dale L. and Sharon K. Kamp of Plymouth, Ind.

He is a 1988 graduate of Plymouth High School, Plymouth, Ind. He earned an associate degree in 2000 from Ancilla Domini College, Donaldson, Ind.
