news handcuffOn Saturday, July 8th about 11:10 p.m. an officer with the Marshall County Police Department stopped a vehicle on US 30 near Redwood Road.

The driver, 21 year old Jose Cruz Velazquez of Chicago was found to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.  He was arrested and lodged in the Marshall County Jail with an additional charge of Reckless Driving.

The cash bond for Mr. Velazquez was set at $1,500 and was paid the next day at 11:40.  He was released with a July 25th court date in Marshall Superior Court II.
