Driving Without a licensePlymouth Police Officer John Weir arrested two individuals on Sunday, July 9th for Operator Never Licensed.

About 10:55 in the morning Officer Weir initiated a traffic stop on a black pickup truck at US 30 and Oak Drive for a traffic infraction.  While speaking with the driver, it was found that he never possessed a valid driver’s license.  41 year old Delfido Garzona Garcia of Warsaw was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

Garcia was held on a $250 cash bond that was paid about 3 hours later.  He was released with an August 8th Marshall Superior Court II date for his initial hearing.

A short time later, about 11:47 in the morning Officer Weir stopped a red Hyundai for a traffic infraction at Garro and Water Streets.  The driver, 38 year old Isaul Granados Mendoza of Plymouth was found to be operating without every receiving a driver’s license.  He too was taken into custody and held on a $250 cash bond. He was released about 4 hours later after his bond was paid and given an August 8th date to appear in Marshall Superior Court II.
Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
