Sheriff Waiting on Forensics Testing in Desirea Jones Death

On Friday, December 19^th the body of 15 year old Desirae Ann Kathryn Jones from Bremen was found by a walker about 8 o’clock in the morning just off 5^th Road between Hawthorn and Grape Roads, the area is commonly referred to a Little Egypt.

Detectives from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department have been working this case everyday with extended hours on the job.  The Indiana State Police has also assisted in the investigation.

This week Marshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin was asked for an update on the case.  Chamberlin said, “Forensics testing is the main delay in charging, with holidays and the limited forensic staff.”  He continued, “Primary tests indicate we are on the right path.”  The sheriff closed by saying, “These things take patience to build air tight case.”
