A man was arrested on Tuesday after a manhunt in St. Joseph County.
Walkerton Police had been searching for Brian Edington, wanted on several warrants, since 11:30 a.m.
A Walkerton officer got a tip that Edington was at a specific house. As the police officer arrived at the home, Edington fled out the back door. A foot chase followed and K-9 units assisted in the search. They lost the track after about an hour.
Walkerton schools were contacted by police and placed on lock down during the search.
Police got tips from community members who spotted Edington around the area. Police tracked him down at a Marathon gas station near Koontz Lake.
