The Marshall County Commissioners have been offering FREE dirt at the County Jail. This Saturday is the last day that they have approved the giveaway.
Last year the offer of free dirt was made to area residents, businesses and governmental agencies. It was extremely successful but there was still a lot of dirt left in front of the jail facility at the intersection of Pioneer Drive and Jim Neu.
The Commissioners with the help of the County Highway Department offered free dirt three Saturdays in July, the 12th, 19th, and 26th from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. This Saturday is the last chance. Highway employees will run a loader and you only need to provide your own method of transportation….a pick-up truck, dump truck or just buckets or containers in your trunk.
