09/29/11 Last Friday, September 23rd at approximately 10:30 a.m. Officer Les McFarland with the Marshall County Police Department conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of US 30 and Tulip Road for excessive speed.   During his investigation it was discovered that driver, Tandre A. Harris 21 from Fort Wayne had a suspended license, with a prior charge.  Harris was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked in with a $1000.00 cash bond.  He has a scheduled court appearance in Marshall County Superior Court #2 on October 18th

 On Monday, September 26th at 2:56 a.m. the Marshall County Police Department was contacted in reference to a burglary and theft that occurred in the 1,000 block of Pine Road, just north of US 6.  Items stolen from the residence include a 60 inch flat screen television, a 57” flat screen television, and a Play Station 3 video game system.  It’s believed that this burglary and theft occurred between the dates of September 23rd and 24th.  Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Marshall County Police Department at 574-936-3187. 

On Tuesday, September 27th at approximately 6:45 a.m. Officer Travis O’Neal of the Marshall County Police Department stopped a vehicle traveling westbound on US 30 just east of Oak Road for a traffic infraction.  During the investigation it was found that the driver, Martin Careenas Jr., 23 of Plymouth was driving without ever receiving a license.  Martin was taken to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked in for with a cash bond of $250.00, which was paid on the same date at 9:45am.  A scheduled court date in Marshall County Superior Court #2 will be held on October 25th for Careenas.
