The 8th grade Red Storm traveled to Northwood Middle School on Saturday to participate in the Northwood Shootout. In the first game the Red Storm dominated Jimtown by a score of 53-19. Cole Filson led the way with 16 points while Evan Zeigler, Brayson Leazonby, and Bryce Carmichael all chipped in 8 each.
The second game brought a rematch of last year’s championship game with a tough Northwood team. Despite a great first half, the Red Storm were unable to hold off the Panthers in the second losing by a score of 45-38. Cole Filson led the way with 14 points with Bryce Carmichael and Clay Hilliard chipping in 7 each. Evan Zeigler and Larry Dragani once again led the way defensively for the Red Storm and Bryce Carmichael led the team in rebounds with 6.
The boys are back in action again tonight when they travel to Wawasee to take on the Warriors at 5:00.
