10/03/13 Friday night’s football game at the Rockpile is Homecoming. As part of the celebration the crowning of the 2013 Football Queen will take place at halftime of the Rockies and Concord Minutemen contest. This year there are five queen candidates: Emmelyn Brandt, Danielle Erickson, Gracie Gilbertson, Sidney Listenberger and Ellen Smith. Abby Schumacher the 2012 Queen will be returning on Friday night to crown the new queen.
There is also a huge bake goods raffle at the south end of the track.
Along with the Homecoming festivities, this will be the Ounce of Prevention game with our football team decked-out in a new look. In fact everyone from the football team, to the coaching staff, managers and cheerleaders will be dressed in pink and pink came. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game Friday night too.
Oliver Ford’s Ounce of Prevention team will be set up and selling all kinds of PINK stuff at the front gate along with their famous T-shirts and sweatshirts for students and parents alike. They’ll also be selling pink jewelry and pink stadium cushions.
