08/07/13  On Sunday afternoon August 4th at approximately 4:40 Marshall County Deputy Jonathan Bryant assisted by officers Jordan Rans and Ryan Hollopeter responded to Cale Street in LaPaz in reference to a warrant service.   Arriving at the location, the wanted felon, 23 year old Christopher M. Bunch of Bremen was observed fleeing on foot and entering a pick-up truck attempting to flee officers.  Officers deployed a Taser and immediately stopped Bunch’s attempt to escape ending a potentially deadly situation.   

  Mr. Bunch was wanted on two felony warrants through Marshall County for Intimidation and or Confinement with no bond, Auto Theft with a $3,005 bond, Receiving Stolen Auto Parts and Harassment by phone, mail or written communication with no bond.  Bunch received additional charges of Invasions of Privacy and for Resisting Law Enforcement with a $1,505 bond.

  Officers also arrested his mother, 56 year old Kathy Coverdale of Bremen for Disorderly Conduct, Battery and Assisting a Criminal. 

Both subjects were transported to the Marshall County Jail where Coverdale was booked in on a $755 Bond.  She was later released that night after posting bond and was given an August 20th Superior 2 Court date to appear at 8:30 AM.

Bunch was held with no bond.
