08/17/12 Marshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin released the July activity report.

There were 202 jail bookings last month with the Marshall County Sheriff’s police officers arresting 40 males and 9 females.  Plymouth Police officers arrested 16 males and 4 females last month while Bremen Officers arrested 9 males and Argos officers arresting 3 males.  Other arrested include 2 males and 1 female by Bremen police, 2 males and 1 female by ISP officers and 1 male and 1 female by Culver officers.

The top ten offenses for being booked into the County jail were 10-Possession of a controlled substance, 9-Cocaine/meth, 8-Driving while suspended, 7-Public intoxication, 6-Probation violation, 5-Theft, 4-Operator never licensed, 3-Marijuana, 2-Failure to appear and the number one reason while people were lodged in the Marshall County Jail during July…..Operating while intoxicated.

County police officers investigated 56 accidents last month, 46 were property damage, 9 involved personal injury and 1 was a fatality.

Officer took 116 case reports and wrote 3 citations.  709 civil process papers were received and 412 were served.
