07/20/12 Maggie’s List, a federal political action committee dedicated to electing conservative women to federal office, is proud to announce the endorsement of Jackie Walorski for Indiana’s 2nd District U.S. House of Representatives seat. This endorsement mirrors the need for strong fiscal conservatism in Congress.  Walorski is a dynamic woman who will bring conservative Hoosier values to Washington.

“Jackie Walorski has a global perspective that she used in the Indiana House of Representatives to fight for lower taxes and eliminate wasteful government spending.  Jackie was elected to three terms in the Indiana House and was quickly recognized as a natural leader, becoming the assistant Floor Leader for the Republican Caucus. Jackie Walorski will work to create a pro-growth environment for businesses that will create jobs in North Central Indiana,” says Sandra B. Mortham, Chairman of Maggie’s List and former Florida Secretary of State.

Jackie Walorski states, “It is such a privilege to be endorsed by Maggie’s List to continue fueling the energy of this race in Indiana’s second district.  Now more than ever, it is critical to have the support of a strong conservative organization of women who are focused on the challenging issues facing our country.  I am committed to bringing my independent voice to Congress to represent Hoosier values and fight for commonsense reforms that will get our fiscal house in order and put the hardworking people of this country back to work.”

Maggie’s List Chairman Mortham explains, “Women comprise 54% of the 2008 electorate yet they only hold 16.4% of the seats in the House and 17 seats in the Senate.  We are working together to reverse this reality by empowering women to run for federal office.  Electing candidates Susan Brooks and Jackie Walorski to the U.S. House of Representatives in November is critical to rein in the power of big government.”
