The Marshall County Museum will host their September Brown Bag Lunch Event at noon on Friday, September 9th in the museum at 123 North Michigan Street in downtown Plymouth.

Historic Downtown Bremen has transformed in the past 5 years as volunteers have pushed the boundaries regarding how design, architecture, and historic preservation impacts people and overall place.  Bremen Community Cares Main Street, a nonprofit overseen by Matthew VanSoest, is championing many Quality of Life initiatives.  Their current and ongoing capstone project is restoring a 150-year-old church and transforming it into a community and performing arts center.

Learn more about their journey, the process, and lessons learned.

Matthew VanSoest is a livelong member of Bremen and a 2004 graduate of Bremen High School.  He has a Master’s Degree in Architecture and Urban Design.
