The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Marshall County.  The advisory goes into effect from 2 P.M. Thursday to 8 A.M. Friday.

We can expect a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches and ice accumulations of less than one tenth of an inch is predicted.

Drivers should plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will likely impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.  Slide-off and an increase in accidents are likely to occur with this event.

Drivers are encouraged to slow down and use caution while traveling. Give yourself extra time to reach your destination.

Marshall County is currently under a “Watch” level travel Advisory due to roads that may be hazardous due to ice.
