Last week, under the REES Marque, Randy Danielson and Donna Pontius, Co-Chairs of the REES Renovation Project accepted a check from the Builders Association of North Central Indiana (BANCI).

The Builders Association sponsored the Summer Sippin Craft Brew Fest on Saturday, June 19th.  The event was billed as a fundraiser for the REES Theatre Renovation Project.    Supporting sponsors included: 1st Federal Savings Bank, 1st Source Bank, Centier Bank, Color Bilt Painting, Gutter Guys and Ruoff Mortgage.

The Supper Sippin Brew Fest was a huge success and a check for $10,000 was donated to the REES.

The Rees continues to raise funds for phase IV.  When bids were opened for the interior portion of the project they were much higher than expected, at least $500,000 more along with additional items needed to complete the project a total of jut over $800,000 is still needed.

The REES will host another fundraiser on Saturday, August 7th at the Young Amphitheater with the REES Road Show.  This month they will be showing a film on the big screen at 7:30. “Back to the Future” will be the family film for all to enjoy.  There is no cost to attend although they will pass-the-hat to raise funds for the REES Renovation project.

The concession stand will also be open and ready for paying customers with popcorn, candy, hot dogs, chips, pop and water and cookies.

Participants are urged to bring their chairs, bug spray and blankets to enjoy the movie.  They may also bring their own food items and beverages of their choice.
