WRM_RadioMarch19Brian Powers and Nick Gunty of Frances Luke Accord bring their sonorous harmonies to the fun of the airwaves this weekend, performing songs from all of their albums.  Reflecting on their music with host, George Schricker, Brian and Nick talk about long-distance composing (they live in Chicago and Philadelphia, respectively), their musical influences, and growing up in South Bend, Indiana.  Along the way they help out with the Shoot the Moon Radio Quiz Show, helping us to understand the questions whilst inadvertently coaching the contestants.  Accompanying Frances Luke Accord throughout the program is the well-known Michigan violinist, Katie Van Dusen.  The show also features Argos, Indiana transplant, Cynthia Boener, who performs her own arrangement of a traditional lament on the harp.  And of course there’s the usual sing-a-long theme song, a moment with announcer Hannah Livengood and sound engineer Nate Butler, and many unexpected laughs along the way.

The Wild Rose Moon Radio Hour will air on WTCA AM 1050 and FM 106.1 on Saturday March 2nd at 12 p.m. and can be heard again on Monday, March 4th on WVPE FM at 9 p.m.   The Wild Rose Moon Radio Hour is made possible by a generous grant from The Marshall County Community Foundation and by Judith Robert and Tom Kapacinskas.
