Jana’s Gymnastics competed in Chicago at the Chicago Style Gymnastics Meet on February 8th and 9th. This meet is the largest gymnastics in the world with over 4,000 competitors representing 125 clubs from 23 different states and 5 countries. Gymnasts from the United States, Canada, Bahamas, Bermuda and United Arab Emirates were among the competitors.
The competition was tough and Jana’s Gymnasts placed well.
Placing on Vault were Gabriella Polando(2nd), Eleanor Brashere(7th), Damaris Aguilar(8th), Joy Everett(10th), Jersey Hunter(2nd), Camryn Haskins(12th).
Placing on Bars were Cailyn Flores(6th), Jenna Blake(10th), Lila Hanyzewski(12th), Damaris Aguilar(12th), Susie Everett(2nd), Alexa Finke(6th), Jersey Hunter(5th), KenZ Redding(2nd).
Placing on Beam were Lexi Maza(5th), Emaline Van Duyne(3rd), Cailyn Flores(5th), Daniela Moreno(7th), Lila Hanyzewski(11th), Joy Everett(7th), Susie Everett(3rd), Alexa Finke(10th), Jersey Hunter(8th), Madison Ward(4th), Kasi Harner(8th).
Placing on Floor were Kylee Waldrop(6th), Gabriella Polando(1st), Kylie Haselby(3rd), Emailine Van Duyne(3rd), Cailyn Flores(7th), Eleanor Brashere(2nd), Lila Hanyzewski(4th), Emma Zimpleman(2nd), Joy Everett(4th), Susie Everett(5th), Alexa Finke(7th), Jaelyn McGrath(4th), Jersey Hunter(1st), Camryn Haskins(3rd), Tessa Hutchinson(8th)
Placing in All-Around were Gabriella Pollando(7th), Lila Hanyzewski(10th), Joy Everett(6th), Susie Everett(3rd), Alexa Finke(11th), Jersey Hunter(1st), Madison Ward(11th).
Special Recognition goes to Lexi Maza for upgrading her bar routine and competing a new skill.
The girls were treated to gymnast dance parties, fun game rooms, meeting gymnasts from other parts of the world and Olympic Gymnast John Roethlisberger speaking at awards.
Jana’s Bronze and Silver Teams each earned 4th place finishes and the Gold team finished 7th.
