05/04/11 Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter (left), who is an Eagle Scout, officiated Saturday at the Court of Honor at Culver Academies which involved the awarding of Eagle Scout status to two Argos, Ind., brothers.

Honored at the Court of Honor were Eagle Scouts Tim Jeffirs (far right), a Culver Military Academy  first-classman (senior) and his brother, Ben Jeffirs (on the screen), who was connected to the ceremony via Skype from Ithaca, N.Y. Ben is a 2008 Culver Military Academy graduate and a junior at Ithaca College. He earned Eagle status while at CMA but delayed his Court of Honor until he was able to share the experience with his younger brother. They are the sons of Mark and Carol Jeffirs of Argos,

The Jeffirs brothers were among four Culver cadets honored at the Court of Honor Saturday. Also achieving Eagle Scout status were first-classmen William “Pierce” Freeman (Baton Rouge, La.) and Ryan Kolden (Aliso Viejo, Calif.)

The event was held during the Academies annual Spring Parents Weekend. The Academies sponsors Boy Scout Troop 209 and a Venturing Crew.
