Plymouth Police responded to a possible shooting near St. Michael’s School on Wednesday, May 31st at about 12:45 in the morning. 

City officers located the vehicle containing the victims near North Walnut and Jackson Streets. The victims told police that their vehicle was shot at by a white male with a handgun.

A sweep of the area by police located a male subject matching the description the suspect gave officers.  The suspect was identified as Daniel Allen, 37, of 223 West Adams Street.

Mr. Allen became combative and was taken into custody by Plymouth Police.

During the investigation, a weapon matching the description was found. Daniel Allen was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked on charges of Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon, Criminal Recklessness with a Firearm, and Resisting Law Enforcement.  He is being held on a $1,500 cash bond. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
