Marshall County Police are investigating a fatal crash on U.S. 6 at Linden Road that happened earlier today. Three vehicles were involved.
The Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received several 911 calls at about 11:49 Friday morning of a crash on U.S. 6 near Linden Road involving three vehicles. (Linden Road is east of LaPaz.)
Witnesses reported that a Chevy SUV was eastbound on U.S. 6 and had struck a guardrail and then drove head-on into a westbound semi-tractor trailer.
The driver of the Chevy Trailblazer was identified as Anthony Buckland, 52, of Plymouth.
Marshal County Coroner John Grolich said Buckland was entrapped in his vehicle and had to be extricated. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi, Jose Gallardo also of Plymouth was not injured in the crash.
Assisting at the scene were LaPaz Fire, Union North Ambulance Service, Bremen Fire, officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Bremen Police, Tri-County Ambulance Service, and Deputy Coroner John Lampkins.
This crash remains under investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and the Marshall County Coroner’s Office.
