The Plymouth City Council approved a resolution creating three new funds to place monies in for various projects. 

The Harrison Street Trail Fund was approved for the deposit of all funding associated with the development of the Harrison Street Trail project, including any applicable grant funds. Expenditures from the fund shall be for all general expenses and purchases associated with the trial. The fund will be perpetual until terminated by a subsequent resolution or ordinance, or Indiana law.

The second fund created was the Opioid Settlement Fund – Restricted Fund which is for the portion of the funds received from the State of Indiana’s legal settlement with drug distributors AmerisourceBergen, Cardinal Health, and McKesson, along with opioid manufacturer Johnson & Johnson and designated for opioid abatement. Expenditures from the fund shall be for approved abatement uses under the terms of the National Settlement as authorized by the State of Indiana.

The final fund approved by the City Council was the Opioid Settlement Fund – Unrestricted. Expenditures from the fund shall be for all purposes approved by the City of Plymouth.
