The Marshall County Commissioners have several items on their agenda for today’s meeting that begins at 8:30 in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building.

Jason Peters, the County Highway Superintendent will give an update on his department’s activities including road and bridge projects.  County Plan Director Ty Adley will discuss the U.S. 31 Study Committee between U.S. 30 and State Road 10 and Rick Thompson from Marshall Starke Development Center will bring the commissioners additional information on the security estimates for the buildings.  It was suggested by Commissioner Overmyer, after vising the facilities that additional security was needed but since Marshall Starke is a non-profit they additional funding is not available.  Overmyer suggested using some of the county’s ARP Fund for the project.

The Commissioners will also hear from County Recorder Janet Howard on a scanning project and the County Attorney, Jim Clevenger will give a report along with County Auditor Julie Fox.

During the portion of the meeting listed a Commissioner Items, the county’s HR manager Ann Anglin will discuss an amendment to the personnel policies handbook.

The Commissioner’s meeting is open to the public and comments and questions are welcome.  The meeting is also available online by using the Marshall County website at www.co.marshall.in.us and look for the Watch Live Meetings link.
