On Monday, April 18th at approximately 6 p.m. 29-year-old Dereck Ferrell of Warsaw was arrested at the Marshall County Probation Department for two outstanding St. Joseph County warrants.
Officer Arnold with the Plymouth Police Department transported Mr. Ferrell to the Marshall County Jail where he was incarcerated with NO BOND.
On Wednesday, April 20, just after 9 a.m. Plymouth Police Officers were called to 510 West Adams Street for a warrant service.
33-year-old Martell Murphy of South Bend was taken into custody for a warrant confirmed out of Illinois. Mr. Murphy was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail. He was held with NO BOND.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
