The golfing gods shined bright on Pretty Lake Golf Club Tuesday morning as cool temperatures gave way to a sunny beautiful day for the 21st annual Plymouth Invitational. In a field of 10 squads, the John Glenn Falcons edged out the hosts by a three-shot margin. Glenn’s senior Megan Kobelt led the field with a fine 77.
Plymouth was led for the second consecutive day by the power and precision of senior Annastasia Hutchings who finished third overall with an 87. Anna improved three shots from yesterday and led the team in greens in regulation today. The flat stick was solid for Anna which fed her three birdies, also a team-best. I was proud of Anna’s ability to compete today as she hung tough between Kobelt 77 from Glenn and today’s second-place finisher Koetter 84 of Northwestern. Anna finished strong birding two of her final four holes.
