County BuildingMembers of the Marshall County Council will conduct a public hearing Monday on the Bremen Public Library project and general obligation bond at 9 a.m.

Council members will also consider the request of James Bendy, head of the Probation Department.  He is seeking approval to apply for an Indiana Office of Court Services Pre-Trail Grant for fiscal year 2021-22.  County Treasurer Angie Birchmeier will discuss amending the Innkeepers Tax ordinance and Highway Superintendent Jason Peters will be seeking approval of an additional of $800,000 for road projects this year.

Ginny Munroe from the Troyer Group will request approval to apply for a Phase III COVID-19 grant in the amount of $250,000. The funds will be used to purchase food for the food banks in the county and to assist small businesses who have suffered from the coronavirus pandemic.

Council members will consider additional appropriations and transfers along wit an amendment to the 2021 Salary Ordinance.

The meeting is held in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building.  It’s open to the public although face masks are required along with social distancing.
