Crash_US30&Queen 2-22-21_1Monday afternoon just before 1:00 P.M. the Marshall County Dispatch received a 911 call in reference to a car verses semi collision at the intersection of US 30 and Queen Road.

According to Deputy Laffoon with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Departments press release it stated that 37 year old Jessica R. Parker of Fort Wayne who was driving a 1997 Buick passenger car was traveling east on US 30 approaching Queen Road.

Crash_US30&Queen 2-22-21_2Parkers vehicle struck the back of 52 year old Zdzislaw Hodorowicz of Bridgeview, Illinois who was operating a 2012 Volvo semi-tractor pulling a trailer.

Hodorowicz was facing east and was slowed or stopped at the intersection at the red light. The collision caused Jessica Parker to be trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated from her vehicle.

Med flight in snow 2-22-21According to scanner traffic Parker was conscious while being extricated and was transported by Plymouth EMS to the Plymouth Municipal Airport where she was airlifted by Med-flight to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for injuries sustained in the crash.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Indiana State Police, Plymouth Fire and EMS and Reichert and Knepp Towing.
