arrestTuesday afternoon, February 2nd, Officer Krynock with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and Harrison Streets.

A vehicle driven by 20-year-old Damien Wheeler of Big Sunday, TN was stopped for a traffic infraction. During the stop, Wheeler was found to be in possession of paraphernalia. There were several bags of suspected Marijuana also located inside the vehicle.

During the stop, Wheeler made several false statements about his identity. He was incarcerated at the Marshall County Jail on a level 6 felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance and a charge of Deception and held on a $1,500 cash bond.

Damien Wheeler was released with No Judicial Review on February 4th at 1 p.m.  His initial hearing in Marshall Superior Court II is scheduled for March 3rd at 8:30 a.m.

 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
