Recycle Depot_Logo11-10-17Any Marshall County Resident who uses the Recycle Depot to recycle their waste materials will see new bids the next they stop out.  The Depot has added a bin for glass.  The recycling center has also added clean white EPS Styrofoam and plastic film such as plastic grocery bags and clean trash bags.

If you are interested in recycling, you can presort metal cans and plastic bottles and jars for the compactor on the driveway at the depot. There is also a tote for glass bottles and jars and a tote for office paper and newsprint but not shredded paper.  Also in the driveway is the cardboard tote for corrugated cardboard and paperboard.

County residents who want to recycle clean, white Styrofoam blocks should hand those items off to a staff member along with clean plastic bags and shredded paper.

The Recycle Depot asks to you make sure there is no food waste in your recycling materials.  You should wash out glass and cans. The recycling center does not accept any trash.  Recyclers should keep materials separated, don’t put paper in with glass because it does matter, the Depot is charged for contaminated recycling.

Recyclers are urged to read signs at the Recycle Depot.  If you don’t see the material listed, check with the staff of leave it out.

The Marshall County Recycling Center is open Mondays from 7:30 to 3:30; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 to 3:30; Fridays from 8:30 till 2:30 and closed on Wednesdays.  You can also take you recycling materials to the Depot the first and third Saturdays of each month from 8 till noon.
