Three county residents have filed their declaration of candidacy to fill the County Council seat vacated earlier this month by Jack Roose. Roose presented his letter of resignation on Monday, January 12th. He served two years of a four year term on the council.
Jon Van Vactor, Bruce Knapp and Mark Wickizer will speak to the precinct committee men and women about their qualifications for the council seat and ideas for the betterment of the county.
The Marshall County Republican Party will conduct a caucus on Wednesday, January 27th at Republican Headquarters, 117 Water Street in Plymouth beginning at 5 p.m.
Republican Precinct representatives from Center 5, 6 and 7, North 1, 2 and 3 and Polk 1 and 2 Township will be voting on the candidate to fill the vacancy.
