With the addition of a fourth court to be known as Superior Court III in Marshall County the commissioners are moving forward with the purchase of the Doug Hite Law Office at 211 West Jefferson Street.
During Monday’s commissioner meeting County Attorney Jim Clevenger said closing is scheduled for December 18th with possession of the building beginning on January 1st.
The purchase price for the property was $138,500 which is the average of the two appraisals conducted on the property.
Commissioner Kevin Overmyer said the plan is to demolish the building and garage on the property and add additional parking.
