Argos shuts out Rochester
ARGOS — Argos’ girls soccer team shut out Rochester at Eugene Snyder Field by a 2-0 final.
In what was a very physical game the Dragons would spend much of the first half on the Zebra side of the field, constantly peppering Rochester with shots.
Argos would be the first to strike at 12 minutes with a through ball by freshman Lilly Hines to sophomore Emma Dunlap who found the back of the net.
Argos would be quick to strike again in the 27th minute when sophomore Aryanna Allen would cross the ball to the middle and Junior Elizabeth Edmonds would put a foot in the ball and slip it past the Rochester keeper, bringing the Dragons up 2-0.
Argos dominated the shots on frame 13-1.
Argos improves their record 5-4 and 2-1 in the conference and will travel to LaVille on Thursday with kick-off at 6:30 p.m.
