Bremen pitches shut out
BREMEN — Bremen’s boy’s soccer team opened the NIC season with a shut out win over South Bend Riley 6-0.
The Lions started strong in the first half and had an even stronger showing in the second. Junior midfielder Alex Alvarado controlled the midfield and added a goal and assist on the night.
Senior forward Collin Moren scored two and had an assist while fellow senior forward Eric Ramirez also tallied a goal. Junior mid Tony Hardin scored while junior mid Al Byrd added an assist. Senior Lennin Diaz had two assists on the night, one being to sophomore forward Grant Devine.
Freshman mid Hudson Fox also tallied an assist to help the Lions to victory. Junior GK Dominic Snook and senior GK Brandt Carrico both kept clean sheets.
