Staff and friends of Miller’s Assisted Living Community observed National I LOVE LUCY Day October 15.
The Miller’s Thespians chose to re-enact the Lucy television show that had Lucy thinking that no one remembered her birthday. While sitting all alone on a park bench she was befriended by the FRIENDS OF THE FRIENDLESS Society. Of course, in the end Ricky, Fred and Ethel had planned a surprise birthday for Lucy after all.
Taking part in the skit in order of appearance were: Anna Corbett, Lucy; Deb Shock, Mrs. Trumbull; Bryan Zehr, Ricky; Bobby Bunting, Fred; and Diane Swygart, Ethel. The Friends of the Friendless band was portrayed by Members of the Marshall County Church Orchestra: Don Harness, Jim Mechling, Judy Harness, Annette Ray, Debbie Burman, and Cindy Flagg. Stage Crew members were volunteers: Kathy Ambrose, Sharon Duff and Lois Evans.
