Candy Lane_1The Selge Construction storm sewer project on Candy Lane in Plymouth is nearly complete according the City Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson. During Wednesday’s Board of Public Works and Safety meeting, Davidson gave an update on the project.

Candy Lane_2He said all the mainline pipe is installed and paving is scheduled for Friday, May 31st although it is weather dependent.  Davidson noted this is the fourth change in the paving schedule due to the rainy weather we’ve experienced. Paving will take place on Ferndale, Lincolnway East and Candy Lane.  While the NO PARKING restrictions have been removed and the detours have been eliminated, Davidson has asked the Police Chief to have officers in the area on Friday since the paving project will require some delays with flagging.

Candy Lane_3The entire project should be completed within the next two weeks including the punch-list items.  He said, “The whole project has gone very well.”

Board of Works members Bill Walters and Jeff Houin said they have received complementary comments from residents on the contractors care and courtesy.
