Miller’s Assisted Living Community held their Mardi Gras Celebration onFat Tuesday, March 5th. The celebration is an annual event in which the public is invited to attend a Cajun buffet. The Mardi Gras Jesterarrived just in time to hand out Mardi Gras beads and other tokens to all .
Magician Kevin Wilson or South Bend shared his slight of hand magic as he moved from table to table during the evening. The Mardi Gras Jester and the Beautiful Mardi Gras Ladies kept the evening lively as they brought attention to Cindy Flagg, Activity Director who made many announcements and awarded prizes throughout the evening. Diners won prizes based on giving correct answers to Mardi Gras trivia. The Grand Prize winner of the handmade Mardi Gras door wreath was Jack Kinney.
Dixieland Jazz music was provided by musician Annette Ray of Bourbon. She played throughout the evening meal. Ray played “Pomp and Circumstance” as Marketing Director Anna Corbett announced and crowned the 2019 Mardi Gras royalty: King Hobie Martin and Queen Ruth West.
