Operation Round Up Spring 2019The Operation Round Up board of directors is happy to announce that two local organizations received funding for community development projects in February.

Todd Zeltwanger of Cultivate accepted an Operation Round Up grant from Emily Howard, communications specialist at Marshall County REMC in the amount of $2,500.

Cultivate is devoted to ending the cycle of joblessness, poverty and hunger in the local communities of northern Indiana by providing a food rescue service and job training in culinary arts.

Junior Achievement of Marshall County was also awarded a grant from Operation Round Up. Junior Achievement empowers students in grades kindergarten through 12 to own their economic future by providing vital workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy lessons.

Howard said, “We are happy to provide support and encouragement to these organizations that help make our community a better place. We would like to thank the REMC members who support the Operation Round Up program who make these donations possible.”
