City NEwsThe Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety and the Common Council will meet Monday evening beginning at 6 p.m. in the Conference room of the Plymouth Fire Department. 

The Board of Public Works and Safety will open bids for the Spring Street Surface Treatments and the Street and Sidewalk Projects. 

Department heads will give their reports and Fire Chief Rod Miller will request approval to offer conditional employment to an applicant for a paramedic position.  The City Engineer will ask the Board of Public Works to accept a letter of credit in lieu of a cash financial guarantee for a drainage plan and a storm water pollution prevention plan. 

Under requests the Board of Public Works will consider the request of Pan Mahler Lee to conduct a Suicide Prevention Walk in the city while Jim Ruggles wishes to discuss an issue with parking tickets. 

The Common Council meeting is scheduled for 6:30.  Two public hearings will be held for the tax abatements for Weir Enterprises and Pretzels Inc. The Council is expected to approve two declaratory resolutions designating their real estate to be in Economic Revitalization Areas.

It’s also anticipated that the City Council will pass a resolution to amend the project list for Tax Incremental Financing District # 1 to add the Rees Theatre Project. 

The city meetings are open to the public but comments and questions are limited to agenda items only.
