Marshall County Supervisor of County Highways, Jason Peters is asking citizens to avoid driving over any bridges that have flood water on them.

Peters said the flooding conditions have created a concern with rushing waters that may have caused erosion of the bridge foundations.  The quick moving waters could easily undermined the county’s bridges over the Yellow River and until the water recedes the highway department is unable to determine if any damage has happened.

When the road is marked closed, that sign is placed there for a good reason.  Drivers are not to go around barricades for their own safety.
