County BuildingThe Marshall County Council will meet for their first meeting of the new year on Monday at 9 a.m. in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.

The first order of business is the reorganization of the board and Liaison appointments.  The Council will also make an appointment to the Culver Union Township Public Library Board and the Personnel Committee.

Other agenda items include the request of Sheriff Matt Hassel to apply to the Indiana State Department of Health for a grant for Naloxone Rescue Kits, judge Colvin will discuss the iTouch Biometric Fingerprint System for the Probation Department and Angel Balsley from the 4H Fair Board will request approval for a fundraiser for the Multi-Purpose Building.

Stan Klotz, President of the Marshall County Plan Commission will continue the discussion seeking a temporary part-time Code Enforcement Officer and council members will consider additional appropriations and transfers along with 2017  Salary Ordinance amendments for WIC and the Prosecutor IV-D and an ordinance amendment for the 2018 Salary Ordinance for the Highway, WIC and Prosecutor’s IV-D funds.

The County Council meetings are open to the public although comments and questions are limited to the first order of business.
