PeacePoleFollowing in the footsteps of the Sisters of the Holy Cross who placed a Peace Pole on St. Mary’s campus, Saint Joseph Health System (SJHS) will dedicate a Peace Pole in the main lobby of Saint Joseph Health System Plymouth Medical Center.

Peace Poles are internationally recognized symbols of the hopes and dreams of the human race, standing vigil in silent prayer for peace on earth.  Conceived by Masahisa Goi in Japan in 1955 and today promoted by the Peace Pole Project, the poles bear the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” scripted in different languages. More than 180,000 have been placed around the world.

The community is invited to attend the Peace Pole dedication at the hospital (1915 Lake Avenue in Plymouth) on Tuesday, December 12th at 11:15 a.m.
