County BuildingThe Marshall County Council has a number of items on the agenda for Monday’s meeting.  Many of them are dealing with grant applications.

John Grolich head of the Local Emergency Plan Commission will ask the council for approval to apply for a grant while Jason Peters from the County Highway Department and Commissioner Kurt Garner will discuss Community Crossing funding.

County Prosecutor Nelson Chipman will ask for approval to apply for a Drug Prosecution grant and the establishment of a new fund.  Christine Stinson, Director of the health Department wants to apply for a grant as does Community Corrections Director Ward Byers.  Byers is looking for approval to apply for a FY19 budget grant.

Shannon McLeod will discuss the Marshall County 4H Fair Board’s long range plans including the creation of a Community Center on the fairgrounds in Argos.  The OCRA grant to help fund the Center was not awarded last month.

County Council members will also consider additional appropriation request and transfer requests.

The meeting is open to the public and is held in the second floor meeting room beginning at 9 a.m.
